Find out Which Two Popular Skin Treatments can help you treat your Skin

by Judy Aulin

For most women there is nothing better than a facial treatment because it helps promote skin renewal and helps us relax. Microdermabrasion and cleansing are two different types of treatment that can be used as one.

Even though facial treatments do involve an exfoliation step, these two procedures are still different. Also, microdermabrasion uses mechanical exfoliants that are not the same as a facial. If you want to discover the differences, keep reading.

Facial Cleansing

Facials help clean, exfoliate, and nourish the skin. These types of treatment are also known as deep cleansing facials or deep pore cleansing because they help extract impurities from the hair follicles.

A facial is performed in 7 different steps. First, the esthetician will clean the skin using a cotton pad and a cleansing product. This step may be preceded or followed by an analysis of the skin to determine what products are best for it.

Once the cleaning process is completed the professional will exfoliate the skin using a mechanical or chemical exfoliant. If you wish to have a natural skin treatment, you may request a natural exfoliant such as sugar, salt, or crushed grape seeds. Next, the esthetician may begin removing blackheads or whitehead, if needed.

After the extraction process, a facial massage is begun to help stimulate the skin and facial muscles. The facial will end with a mask and the application of toners and protective creams. This skin treatment should be performed at least 4 times a year to reap its full benefits.

Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion is a facial treatment that removes the outer layers of the skin with the use of mechanical abrasion. The main idea is to help provide a deep exfoliation for skin renewal. Make sure that a licensed professional performs this treatment.

This procedure can be performed by a dermatologist in his/her office, but is usually performed in a day spa or salon.

Microdermabrasion can be done anywhere on the body, not just the face. It is a quick process that takes about half an hour and is fairly painless. This procedure is usually performed to deal with specific skin issues such as age spots, wrinkles, or scars.

The basis of a microdermabrasion cream are abrading micro-crystals. However, the cream itself may contain other ingredients including natural extracts. The ingredients added are to help soothe the skin during the process.

After any microdermabrasion treatment, you should use sunscreen to protect the newly exposed skin. This treatment is not recommended for people who have sensitive skin as it might cause rashes and irritation. You should also proceed with caution if you have mature skin.

Skin exfoliation is a great way to keep your skin looking younger while getting rid of dead skin cells, debris, and excess sebum. BIOSKINEXFOL is one of the few all natural skin care products that can help reveal healthier looking skin. The secret behind natural skin products like this is a special natural ingredient capable of soothing skin while repairing the damage caused by external factors.
