Pimples Pop Up more Frequently if You Don't Take care of your Skin
Pimples pop up more often on a teenager than on anyone else. Hormonal changes make your sebaceous glands produce more sebum. This increase in oil production promotes clogged pores because the sebum mixes with dead skin cells and debris.
Clogged pores are the basis of all types of acne. So if you're lazy and not keeping up with your daily cleansing routine, your odds of getting pimples just went up. Acne isn't on anyone's wish list, so the first step in pimples treatment is finding the adequate skin care routine.
First, determine your skin type. There are 3 main types of skin: oily, dry, and combination skin. Oily skin is the type that produces excess sebum, while dry skin is completely the opposite. Combination skin is more complicated because it contains both skin types - oily and dry.
Pimples pop up more frequently in people who have oily skin or combination skin. This happens because both of these skin types produce too much sebum (oily skin, all over the face; combination skin, at and around the T-zone).
Once you've determined your skin type, pick a cleanser that is appropriate for you. If you have oily or combination skin you should use oil-free, foaming cleansers, while cream cleansers are best if you have dry skin.
If you're trying to control your acne, it is a good idea that your cleanser contains salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide. Both ingredients can effectively control acne breakouts. If your skin is sensitive, and you are using a cleanser that contains salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide you might want to change to a normal cleanser. Cleansers containing salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide have been known to irritate sensitive skin.
After cleansing, follow up with a toner. Dry skin benefits most with the use of an alcohol and fragrance free toner, while an oil free toner is ideal for oily and combination skin.
If you wish, you can try a toner that contains alcohol, but only if you have non-sensitive oily skin. Be careful when using this type of product because it can lead to irritation and dryness, even on oily skin. Remember that the idea behind a toner is to remove excess debris, so a good cleanser will make a toner unnecessary.
Finally, apply your favorite moisturizer. For oily skin try a water based moisturizer that is very light, however, for dry skin, choose a thick, creamy moisturizer.
If you have combination skin, you can try one product for each skin type. You can also use a lighter moisturizer and reapply on your dry skin if this seems like too much of a hassle. Moisture is essential to healthy skin, so don't skip this step.
If you're still not convinced about the importance of proper skin care, think about this. If you leave a pimple un-treated or treat it incorrectly, that small pimple can lead to acne scarring. What's worse: having to wash your face every day or keeping up an acne scars treatment regimen?
By not following a daily skin care regime you risk making your acne worse. In fact, daily cleansing not only helps make your skin smoother it also helps prevent acne scars. If what troubles you is the fact that most acne products are filled with harmful chemicals, then used natural skin care products like BIOSKINCLEAR or BIOACNECARE. These natural products will help treat acne pimples safely and effectively.
